She drew the race course on her leg ‘so if I’m in the lead, I know where to guide the others,’ says Danish rower Elisabeth Kaalund Keller with a smile. She is competing in both Endurance and Beach Sprint at the World Rowing Coastal Championships and Beach Sprint Finals.
‘I’ve been competing for ten years, but I’ve never managed to reach the Olympics,’ says Kaalund Keller, who dreams of qualifying for the Los Angeles Games: ‘No one can know right now, but let’s hope.’
On her right leg, she has the course along the coast of Genoa, and on her right arm, a map of the world: ‘The reason is similar’, jokes Kaalund Keller, ‘if I ever get lost, I’ll know where I am’.
