Among the standout athletes at the World Rowing Coastal Championships in Genoa is the Austrian Iurii Suchak, who is competing in the Ligurian capital.

“All the best athletes in the world are here”, said Suchak at the end of his race, visibly satisfied with his performance. Despite the toughness of the competition, the athlete remains confident about the final. “It went well, the feelings are positive, and I hope this afternoon we’ll experience typical coastal racing conditions. That could make the difference”, he added with a confident smile.

Suchak did not hide his appreciation for the host city: “Genoa is a fascinating city. The people here are fantastic, the welcome has been warm, and you can really feel the adrenaline and excitement of the competition”.
