American Kory Rogers dives into the waters of Genoa to defend his Coastal Rowing World Champion title, which he won last year in Barletta in the men’s double. He is one of the most anticipated athletes at this double global event in Genoa.
“I feel good,” says Rogers. “I’m really happy to compete here. I really like the weather and sea conditions. It’s not flat, these are the true Coastal conditions”. Rogers also reveals his fondness for Italian culture: “I really like it, and I also like Genoa, it’s very beautiful”.
But for Kory, “there’s no place like home,” especially with the 34th edition of the Olympics to be held in Los Angeles in four years. “All eyes are on LA,” he says, “reaching the Olympics is my goal”.
