There is one month to go until the World Rowing Coastal Championships & Beach Sprint Finals, the World Championship that will make Genoa the international capital of rowing, scheduled to take place in Genoa from September 6th to 15th.

This event is part of the Genoa 2024 European Capital of Sport program and will feature two coastal rowing disciplines: endurance and beach sprint, the latter of which will make its international debut as a new Olympic discipline on the path to Los Angeles 2028. The location is San Nazaro Beach, in the beautiful setting of Corso Italia in Genoa. This will be the venue showcasing the world’s best athletes.

The first weekend will be dedicated to the Endurance World Championship, where numerous crews from around the world will compete for the titles at stake. The second weekend will feature the beach sprint finals, a new Olympic discipline included in the Los Angeles 2028 Games program, where national crews will compete against each other. This dual event marks the second consecutive edition of the World Rowing Championship held in Italy, following the 2023 edition in Barletta.
